Cyprus, being 240km long, is often a lot larger than many people think and is actually the 3rd largest island in the Mediterranean behind Sicily and Sardinia. This and the fact that the landscape is dominated by two mountain ranges, the Troodos Mountains and the smaller Kyrenia Range, mean that Cyprus has a unique feel to it and a natural beauty not often witnessed.

To add to its natural beauty is the fact that Cyprus has arguably the best climate in the Mediterranean. Given its subtropical climate and average temperatures on the coast of 24ºC, Cyprus has fantastic hot summers but at the same time it also has the warmest winters across the Mediterranean with temperatures averaging 18 ºC. Of course, this isn’t the case all over the island as it also attracts a huge winter crowd into the Troodos Mountains and its excellent skiing facilities.

The Property market in Cyprus has undergone some serious shifts since the economic downturn but one that has made Cyprus particularly interesting as the market is now recovering. Cyprus is a particular favourite for people looking to retire given its very favourable tax regulations for retired people. So much so in fact that Cyprus has been voted regularly as the best place in the world to retire to.

Another unique aspect of Cyprus as a possible destination for your overseas property is its strategic location at the crossroads of three continents (Europe, Asia and Africa). This provides a multitude of property investment opportunities especially with rental investment and its ability to attract both corporate and holiday lets.

Atlas International promotes property only in the Southern area of Cyprus and has multiple opportunities from Polis right through to Ayia Napa. We look forward to inviting you to Cyprus to look at the opportunities there.
