This beach has a simply spectacular setting. Here you can leisurely walk along this gorgeous beach and take in the breathtaking views all around.
Legend has it that this is where the Goddess Aphrodite rose from a gentle foam wave resulting in many a poet and writer to visit this spot for inspiration.
There are two large rocks which can be viewed from the beach . The Greek name of the rock is "Petra tou Romiou" translated as "Rock of the Greek". This is associated with the legendary Byzantium frontier-guard, Digenis Akritas. It is said that here he kept the Arab pirates at bay by throwing two rocks at them from the hillside above.
A day spent here is like a day spent in paradise.
