This seaside district is very much a scenic area of Paros. With its natural green environment and water springs this really is a family orientated area and is only located 10 minutes away from the airport.
The most famous beach in the area is Chryssi Akti translated as the Golden Coast. This is a long sandy stretch of beach that holds the annual world surfing championship. One of the most popular spots is the friendly bay found in Dryos with its small port. This is much loved by the locals and tourists alike for its natural beauty and it has some lovely sunbathing spots on the beach and a warm sea all year round for a relaxing swim.
The area is also steeped in history with the famous monastery of St George being the main highlight. Also popular once a month is the Full Moon parties, all the locals will gather down to the beach and celebrate the full moon with a feast of plentiful food and flowing wine.
