Real Club de Golf Campoamor is located 100 metres above sea level and is bordered to the south by a canal which transfers water from the River Tajo to the River Segura. Also to be found is an abundance of Mediterranean vegetation and other ornamental plants. The 18 holes are laid out in two connected valleys, surrounded by small hills which protect them from the wind.
The round is very varied, where the upward slopes are not too complicated but the fairway shots can be very difficult as some greens are on high ground due to the contours of the natural terrain being protected by bunkers and exposed to the wind. Only two miles from Villamartin, Campoamor was opened in 1989 and, although not as hazardous as Villamartin, it is the most panoramic of the courses in the region. The expansive fairways, excellent greens and the lakes deceive the player somewhat, making this is a long and testing course with six "dog legs" to keep you on your toes!
