Atlas in Ireland

Atlas International opens its two new
regional head-offices in Ireland

Aiming to further strengthen its commitment to the Ireland market, Atlas International will officially launch its new regional head-offices in Waterford and Dublin. James Dearsley, Sales Manager at Atlas International comments: "The Ireland market is expanding at a phenomenal rate, especially with SSIA becoming mature. The opening of our two new regional offices is in response to an ever increasing demand for holiday and retirement properties abroad".

Atlas will offer consistent rotation of exhibitions to complement its service to the Irish customers. James adds: "It is our aim to provide consistent and established markets for product choice, in order to ensure safety and security for all our clients".

James Dearsley further comments: "Today we are experiencing a higher than ever interest in the overseas market. Enquiries we received in the first quarter of 2006 have increased by over 150% compared to that of the first quarter of 2005".

Spain still continues to dominate as the number one choice of destinations for buying abroad. In fact in the last 30 years no other country has performed as well as Spain when it comes to property investors. James continues: "there is no other country that can boast the kind of growth that Spain has shown over the last 10 years - 175% rise in this period".

The large Irish contingent already settled in Spain is largely due to it being only 3 hours away and the fact that it has a fully establised and proven infrastructure, including excellent roads and transport networks with high speed trains. 320 days of sunshine each year and an advanced health care system further add to the appeal of Spain.

There is also a marked increase in the use of internet as an information tool by the consumers, and hence Atlas International has launched its own Irish dedicated website, www.atlasinternational.ie and is also currently working on a Gaelic site too.

However, in the last few years Cyprus has become another great investment potential. Although it is still largely untouched, the investment potential is growing at an amazing rate. James cites some of the reasons: "In Cyprus all the signs are in English, they drive on the left, and have a sound legal system-all of these gives confidence and security to the buyer. Rental of properties by non-Cypriots was only made legal from January 2006 and so there are now other investment possibilities than just capital gain".

James concludes: "With the East-Larnaka airport in the process of becoming an international airport, the area will get a massive boost as a big investment opportunity".
