A cluster of bays form the Makronissos beach. In fact there are three bays that stretch out in different directions, one to the west, the second to the southwest and the third stretches in a south-easterly direction. All of these bays create wonderfully well sheltered beach areas.
This large beach is one of the most popular with the Cypriots, particuarly at the weekends. The beach itself is approximately 6km out from the local town and is very suitable for families and the elder generation of visitors.
This is a superb white sandy beach and gives the chance to experience many water sports. The many sports available include snorkelling, diving, water skiing, parasending and paddle boating.
