Algorfa, is located right in the heart of the Segura region. One of Vega Baja’s citrus farming villages, Algorfa is situated amongst lush and fertile countryside. La Finca Algorfa Golf is the newest course in Alicante and is an emerald jewel of great beauty with some spectacular views as it sits in the shadow of the la Escotera mountains with vistas towards the sea and Torrevieja’s two salt lakes.
Designed by José Ganceda, La Finca golf course has many features and currently has 18 holes, although it will finish being a 54 hole complex made up of 3 different golf courses; the present length is 6,394 metres with a 72 par. So if you are looking to play a game in country air or just look out on to some of the breathtaking scenery of well maintained and designed golf courses this is the place to be.
La Finca golf course has the greatest variety of greens of any course on the Costa Blanca, ranging in size from very large to very small. In addition, the course has a reserve hole so that, in the event that one of the holes has to be closed off unexpectedly, players are still able to complete a full 18-hole round.
The course also has several lakes with running water and reed beds along the course which adds beauty and difficulty to the game, and has made the course the home of a wide variety of migratory water birds, such as ducks and egrets, while the interior of the course is home to olive and palm trees, thus creating a beautiful backdrop of vegetation with a distinctly Mediterranean flavour.
