Bodrum

Bodrum is a charming and fabulous tiny port on the Aegean coast of Turkey. Here the locals love to fish, boat build, weave and farm. There is a very traditional feel when you enter Bodrum and this can be seen by watching the local villagers working. The population is just over 32,000 and so there is no problem with over crowding in this area. It is also has its own airport here.

The Bodrum Peninsula is located near the northwest entrance to the Gulf of Gokova and faces the Greek island of Kos. At the centre of Bodrum sits the castle of St Peter with its narrow streets and long shopping promenades. At the heart of town the marina provides many quaint little restaurants for you to enjoy the local wine and food. The nightlife here is also very good and is abuzz with many bars and tavernas during the summer months.
