• Annual running costs will depend on the size of property. As a guideline running costs for an average 2/3 bed property will be somewhere between 1,350 – 2,000 euros. This will include gas, electricity, water, local rates, community fees and insurance.
• ICI (Imposta Comunale sugli Immobili) is annual council tax determined by size and quality of property. It is not very high, about 100-400 euros, or about 0.5-0.6% of declared value, and established by council. It may be payable once, or twice per year.
• Refuse/garbage tax is low, about 100-300 euros per year
• Utilities bills include a small fixed charge and a charge for usage. These are paid every 2 months.
